Programme Framework and NEP 2020 Credit Rules

KKHSOU was established under the KKHSOU Act 2005 (notified on 29 September 2005) and recognized by the UGC on 18 March 2009. The university adopted the UGC Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes under NEP 2020 starting from July 2023.

Academic programmes follow the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). One academic credit represents 30 hours of learner engagement, including counselling sessions, personal contact programmes, assignment preparation, and self-study. Programmes require a minimum of 20 credits per semester.

Simultaneous Enrolment Rules for UG and PG Programmes

In accordance with UGC guidelines issued in April 2022, KKHSOU allows students to pursue two academic degrees (undergraduate or postgraduate) simultaneously, provided eligibility conditions are fulfilled.

To enroll in two programmes at KKHSOU, the student must register for the second programme in a separate admission cycle. For instance, a learner registered for a programme in the Summer (July) session must register for the second programme in the Winter (January) cycle.
